[Developed from the Mahon Yam by Dr. David Bradshaw, retired horticulture professor at Clemson University.] This outstanding variety has creamy, sweet, and moist orange flesh and an unusual 7-lobed leaf. In our minimal irrigation trials during the droughty summer of 2010, Bradshaw stood out as a champion at producing big roots on little water. Judged to be the sweetest variety on offer in 2011 taste trials.
