DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The silica gel canister will dry 40 grams (approximately 1.4 to 2 ounces) of seed. To dry seed, place seeds and the canister together in an airtight quart jar for 5 to 7 days. It can also be used to dry the air in all types of moisture-resistant containers (up to 3 cubic feet of air per canister). The see-through, microwave-safe, plastic container of silica gel can be regenerated in the microwave by heating the canister for approximately 4 minutes. Actual heating time will vary according to type of microwave. Heating converts the inactive (pink) silica gel to active, moisture-absorbing (blue) silica gel.
Caution: The canister will be hot after heating. Handle it with a pot holder when removing it from the microwave.
The canister may be used over and over. Its contents are chemically inert, non-corrosive, non-toxic, and odorless (though there maybe a slight odor during the heating process). Do not heat the canister in the oven, or longer than necessary.
