Mackey Southern Pea (Cowpea) 28 g

Retail Price: $2.50

Small crop, now sold out for 2016 68 days. [E. Texas heirloom, seedstock thanks to Mike Neder.] Similar to pinkeye purple hull, vining plants are drought-resistant and also hold up well in cooler fall temperatures. 6-7 in. pods, 8-15 seeds/pod, pods turn beige when dry. Seeds have a flavor between blackeye peas and cream crowders, good fresh or dried. Mike and Lola say they like them best when the seeds are still green, just before the pods turn dry! Pkt (120 seeds)
