Bulbs are generally 1-1/2 to 2-1/2in. in diameter, larger when well-grown. Cloves usually number 6 to 11 per bulb, and peel easily. 'Spanish Roja' is quickly becoming a popular gourmet garlic in high demand. It is recommended primarily for mild and cold winter areas, but not for hot climates without a cold winter.
